Coat rack 80
Design Yrjö Kukkapuro 1971During his outstanding career furniture designer Yrjö Kukkapuro has created numerous modern classics but among them there is only one coat rack. This aesthetic and functional coat rack is now part of Monena’s collection. Coat rack 80 and the entire Monena collection are manufactured in Finland and have been awarded both the Avainlippu and Design from Finland marks.
The coat rack was designed in 1971, in the same time period as the famous Remmi chair. You can clearly see Kukkapuro’s modular serial component thinking in this coat rack and the length can be easily adjusted to suit the space. This minimalist furniture gracefully combines the elements of Kukkapuro's design philosophy: functional innovation and timeless aesthetics. The coat rack has been re-producted in august 2022.
Coat rack 80 is available in two different lengths and comes with a fixed rail for hanger. The product is also available with additional hook pipe.
